TO WARN PARENTS!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My experience with Industry Network is one of the worst. It is time and money that I will never get back, and the only good thing about it, is that it is over. I take full responsibility but am writing as a warning to future participants...it is a scam, unprofessional, disorganized, and a stupid amount of money. Lesson learned, never again.

SCAM!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This is Scam!! I just had what they called an audition.

I have seen an add on insta. Signed up, they called me saying they are from Casting Call and that I have an audition via zoom, gave me text to memorize commercial do K-Mart. I have attended zoom the women who leads had a lot of make up and was wearing a black fur and said she is in LA. It was first red flag ( who wears fur in L.A.

It is warm there) her name was Gloria ( didnt not gave last name). Than she introduced Ryan H. Like another person who makes decisions and then she introduced actor or someone who resembles the real one Larry Van Buren Jn. He was loud and obnoxious.

I didnt believe what he was talking about. There was over 100 people besides me on that zoom call . Gloria was talking for hour and a half about same stuff and was repeating herself all the time. She is a professional scammer, she has a grip on people.

She was taking soo much and nothing about the cost $$$$. Its specific tactic, you have to stand all the time she is talking and get tired that you dont think straight. There was a moments when she would break the character and you can see real her just for a brief moment. She has a lot of jewelry and wears fancy clothes but she has bad teeth and that got me wondering too. Finally they divided us in two groups and auditions started.

Kids went first and parents had so much hope for them. You can see some very talented kids and very tired, worried parents who want support they kids. The guy Ryan H. was complimenting everyone .He had face that you can not trust!!!

I already new it was the scam when they sent us the brochure that said on page 10 all the prices. All that talk and nothing about the prices. It was ridiculous $900 for 5 weeks acting classes and they go up to 10000, depending on the level you choose. So basically everyone thought they auditioning for an actual commercial but it was auditioning to get in they acting classes !!!

They are different type of scammers they hide behind the business that offers acting classes via zoom.

And thats it !!! Its a two hour sale pitch!!!

Still waiting on 1 chance.

Original review Jul 28, 2023
They seen my potential then I realized my life is worth more than 100,000 dollars a month for the rest of my life. Just wish they weren't so money hungry.

I guess that's why people are on strike. I cast in my lot with a giant pot. There's is dwindling. Haha.

It's sucks those people are lied to from the start of 5 weeks. Just wish I had the money to enjoy my craft at the time. Now I'm the one who decides for me. Thats why I'm a contractor.

I did appreciate there constructive criticism although they had none towards my to construct as I'm well with in my craft as a multi talented individual. It sucks cause they only seen how good I was at acting. Then they asked for money. I became the richest person in my world without using theirs.

I hope the people running this sight aren't the industry. Haha LOL

They were really nice to everyone that was there and it took three hours just because they had to let so many people audition. You probably either got scammed by a company pretending to be Industry Network or were not what they were looking for at the time. I got in and am going to LA in a few months but every audition and class I have taken leading up to them and then their audition to see if I could actually get in were all lead by very kind people so I'm 100% sure that they didn't trash you and your brother's dreams unless your idea of that is just being told no.

The Industry Network - Life changing!
My husband and I were in Los Angels for The Industry Network last January and we both have been signed with multiple agencies. It was a lot of work, but so much fun and knowledgeable at the same time. The Industry Network makes everyone feel welcome and there's so many people who will help if you have questions.

We live in a small town in northern California. Our son was chosen to go to the nationals in Los Angeles. He learned Alot. We thought it might just be a work shop and we might be wasting our money. Nope!! Not only did he meet several managers and agents, but a week after, he was back in los angeles signing with an l.a based agent! And for the icing on the cake. Our 12 year old that we thought was just going to an acting workshop was just in the Netflix movie 6 underground! None of this would have happened without the industry network . Love them!!

Horriby

So after spending $670 for so call acting classes and a one man showcase my daughter was picked let me just mention before signing up I asked them if my daughter gets picked to go to California and can not go will they still work with her. They told me of course we stay with her until she meets her goals another lie. Once my daughter was picked to go to California in June I was unable to attend the California showcase because school came first we never heard from them again not to mention it was about $5000 to go to California. Save your money invest in real acting classes and send headshots to local agencies on your own. The Industry Network takes your money and do not help you at all.

Thinking about if I should go to LA or not...

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

A few days before my audition , I was scrolling through the internet and I found something about the Industry Network . So I decided to take a look at it, found out they were having auditions near to where I live , so I decided to go.

I got free head shots and auditioned for singing and acting , got a callback. When we went up to talk to the guy who judged us , he said I could do both programs, and then it added up to about 800 or whatever. I dont remember , anyways I voiced out that I was worried about the money , because I knew that my mom wouldn't be able to afford that , so he said that he will cover one program ( singing ) so we paid for acting ( 595) . Anyways I got to meet 2 coaches that went through the program , one of them went through it and a year later has a movie role.

Anyways it came to the audition were we performed in front of the agents and I got a callback , they said that I was going to LA and I told them I needed time to think about it and they gave me until Friday. I am torn about going in Jan.2020 or not. I dont know if the hotel is included or either. and im scared that I would be wasting my money and i know that my parents cant afford to be scammed, but you know the money we paid in the beginning , we minus that off of the money we are paying for LA , and it is 2038 and thats mot included on airfare and ground transportation or food.

I know this is my dream and what i want to do and i have worked so hard to earn everything in my life so PLEASE HELP ME OUT , should I take this opportunity or not and after reading all the reviews , im so scared.

i need your advice please .

HELP!!! `

Industry network are completely *** I got scam

The opportunity is worth it if you are serious about what you are there to do. BE READY.

Have your material down and be ready to impress.

If it is just something that you are considering and not that serious about pursuing then I guarantee the money will not be worth it. But if you are ready to move to LA tomorrow and start working then it is definitely a worthwhile experience to be seen by so many agents at once.

Don’t do it ! It is a scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently took my friends son to one of these in my home town it was the most unprofessional audition I have ever experienced. No audition is set up they way they had it I sure hope the people they picked don’t fall for this scam wait till they have to put x amount of dollars up front and there is no guarantee you will ever get an audition or a job . Be smart on these things . Nothing is for free

If They are asking you to pay money up front? It's not legit

I've been in the business a good while now (100+ credits to my name on IMDb) Based on everything I've been reading and seeing this is not a legit talent agency, seriously a local, regional then national audition? that's not how its done. A legit Agency has a client base in place that asks for actors or actress's that meet certain criteria things like age range something like 18-29 male or female white Latino or whatever it is they are looking for the Agency then goes thru their talent pool and submits only those people meeting the casting Directors requirements. A legitimate Talent agency Will never ask you to pay upfront, they work off a percentage of whatever they negotiate for you if you get the part

I attended an audition and they did say that they're not a talent agency. They put you forwards to Talent Agency's.

It's just like a place where you go to meet other actors and train to be a actor. But I don't know a lot since I haven't been.

That's just what I've been told from them. Attending a second interview today and will report back on whether they're a scam or not.

Guest

They aren't an agent, from what I can see, They are an "Industry Network" designed to put you in front of agents, but first making sure you are ready. But that's my take on it. What do I know?

thank you for the honest insight

Horrible auditions

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
All this industry network wants is money they make there auditions sound professional but at the end they give you a brochure to pay them. Instead of auditioning for real tv shows like they said it was, instead they wanted me to pay them nearly $1500.
